Animals in Canada

Our trip to Canada was great and refilled my soul of mountains, rivers and Canadian wildlife. I saw black bears many times, as well as moose, deer, Stellar's bluejays and eagles. Most of the time, my camera was not handy fast enough, but I was happy to see them anyway.



Bears at the side of the road was not an uncommon sight. This one took his time ambling at the side of the highway. While driving to Barkerville from Prince George, I saw moose, bear and deer.


Many bald eagles were spotted from the train going from Prince George across to Prince Rupert.

Crows and ravens have always captivated me, and while in Prince Rupert I saw many, many ravens and crows. These crows showed such character and I enjoyed watching them while taking a few photographs. The ravens always kept enough distance from me that the zoom camera never caught them in good detail. they also teased me while moving away from me whenever the camera came out, while they were happy to stay, look, and follow while the camera was away. Cheeky birds!
