Like a good chicken geek, I was delighted to see chickens wandering around the Koala park. I saw no pure Silkies, as per a sign that indicated that they had released white Silkies, but I did see one Silkie girl. She had the fuzzy top headdress from her Silkie heritage and a fluffy fuzzy bum and neck, but her wings and back was more wild type and her body profile more suited to wild living. We also met Bob’s cousin, Sydney Bob. He was smaller and stockier, with a shorter less extravagant tail and had a harem of three dark hens… seems about right, eh?
